Sawtooth sounds - fuzz or synth?

I could really do with a nice sawtooth sound, I know the Markbass Super Synth does it, but I heard you can't set its output mix to solo the synth sound -it always mixes in some of the bass guitar signal.

Any alternatives out there? I would be happy to use a gated fuzz if there's one on the market that does it convincingly.

Iron Ether Subterrenea has a Sawtooth mode as I remember it?
