wezz tone
Hi Guys, Ive decided to sell my Atlansia bass. Date code suggests it was made in 1986, i bought it from music ground in leeds in 2003. Check out my post in bass porn for more info, Im asking £1200.....bearing in mind this bass was for sale in music ground in 1987 for £1495. Its in fantastic condition and has never been giged. Anyone who want to come and try this is welcome as its quite an unusual bass..... Thanks Lee
Brother Jones
I remember these in Music Ground in 1990-ish when I was a student in Leeds. They did look very unusual and this is the first time I've seen one since then. The pickups look a bit like those made by UKG at around the same time. How does it sound? Precisiony? wezz tone
yeh, its more like a stingray, but really it has a unique sound, it has 4 pickups which all have their own adjustable volume, they are definitely unique to Atlasia.... will throw Geoff old carpet free! Ou7shined
Wow, they were certainly thinking out of the box when they built this one - right down to the strap button/foot/lethal jabbing weapon. A separate pup per string sounds like genius. How to adjust each pup with only 2 controls tho? And how come the A and D poles sit parallel with the strings? Ou7shined
I think I answered my own question. You turn the pups to adjust the volume right?
wezz tone
yep, and you can also make fine adjustments from the back via 4 allen keys...........The strap button is so you can play it upright like a cello/double bass, its doesnt extend though so you would need a chair.........
