***WITHDRAWN*** ACG headless Harlot 5-string
£1500

After much deliberation I’ve decided to put my ACG Headless Harlot 5-string up for sale as I have one 5-string too many. Since I had it made 3 years ago it has had minimal use and has never been gigged so it’s as new.

It has a wicked tone, a great action and very easy and comfortable to play thanks to the asymmetric neck shape. This is a fine example of Alan’s work.

34-inch scale
Swamp Ash body core
Asian Ebony top/veneer.
Thru 5 piece flame maple/wenge neck
Acrylic Flame Sycamore neck – no dots
Dual Action trussrod
Carbon neck rods
Blue LED via fiber-optic side dots
Black hardware
Hipshot Ultralite Tuners.
Hipshot Type A bridge - 18mm spacing
ACG String anchor
RFB humbucker bridge pick-up with coil switching
RFB Single coil neck pick-up.
Schaller Straplocks.
Status strings
Fusion Gigbag

£1500.

Would consider trade for Sadowsky HPJ (Precision body version) Edited by obbm

Absolutely gorgeous looking instrument, I just wish that I had the spare cash! The only thing that concerns me...?..."Harlot"! I mean, fair enough, if it was vivid pink, had pointy bits and the year was 1987, but if you called my beautiful bass a harlot I'd be duty bound to punch you in the throat!

I've seen this in the flesh (timber) - this really is a fine bass. I even tried to get it from Dave at the last SE Bash before realising that it was a 5er....worth every penny, whatever it's selling it for..

Good luck with the sale.

Spectacular! Way out of my range, but still... :gas:

Also I like the implicit pun in the name... I'm not certain it's art, but it's not that far off it.

If you've not played one of Alan's basses ( I have a Recurve 5 Freless) do yourself a favour... this looks great, love the facing timber. The asymetric neck is just sublime!

Buyer will be well happy!!

A rare and very cool looking example of a fine instrument, I've had four ACG's and all have been amazing, for me the Harlot was ergonomically the easiest to play, it just felt great, someone will be very happy with this bass, its a beaut! :)
