chris_b
Bobby Vega just doesn't get enough column inches. Why isn't this guy a super star? He deserves so much more.

allighatt0r
The man is amazing. I can't sit still listening to him play. Such a fantastic tone and technique, I wish I could use a pick like him.
tonyf
Bobby indeed is the man. As already stated, he's got the tone, the technique and such feel. Fabulous.
Hector
Really wanted to buy his DVD for a while and this thread was the reminder I needed but it's out of stock now! Bah.
flyfisher
Bobby Vega just doesn't get enough column inches. Why isn't this guy a super star? He deserves so much more.
That's pretty much my ideal and would suit me just fine - fantastic player, played with loads of legends, played on legendary records, renowned within the industry yet almost unknown by the vast majority of the listening public. All in my dreams in my case

AndyTravis
He's ace - EMG use him to demo their pickups so their website is full of him playing. Wasted many hours watching him play.

wombatboter
Great player.... still I wouldn't be able to play with an amp with that sort of hum, even it that's how it supposed to be. I would prefer something a bit more quiet which wouldn' t distract me from my playing.
EssentialTension
Great dancing too.
chris_b
.... still I wouldn't be able to play with an amp with that sort of hum, even it that's how it supposed to be....
Me too. I think this was just a nostalgia trip because I've seen him using Glockenklang in other videos. Even without the hum I was never a fan of Acoustic amps. How could they have been designed by 2 of the best amp designers, Russ Allee (AMP and Thunderfunk) and Steve Rabe (SWR)!
Dingus
I remember Acoustic amps from when I very first started playing, and they had a very "scratchy " treble and a hard and honky midrange, from what I remember. I would still have loved one back then, though. Bobby Vega is a unique talent, and it's always great to hear him play.

Musicman20
I like the fact he plays with a pick a lot, then obviously can pull out the other techniques. Unique pick style...sounds great.
Conan
It's all there isn't it?
Yep. He's got the lot. In spades. Seems a really nice guy too. There aren't many bass players that have total mastery of their instrument, but he does. Makes you sick, doesn't it?
