Jag_Bassist Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Hey guys, i have an electro harmonic switchblade which I'm using to switch between bass and synth into one amp. unfortunately the signals of both are really quiet when i use it. i assume thats because the pedal is passive? would an active A B Y switch like the mooer option solve this? also does anyone know of an a b y that has separate level controls? Thanks in advance. Quote

Jag_Bassist Posted January 25, 2014 Author Posted January 25, 2014 they look like what i need. just to check you can set it up for two inputs to 1 out put? do i use the input and the return to the output? Quote
0175westwood29 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Theres so many modes im sure you can switch between input a and b and send only thru output a Andy Quote
Prime_BASS Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 The LS-2 will do what you want. Instrument one into return A and 2nd into return B, output to amp. In A or B mode the switch go from one to the other. The knobs will act as line boost or cuts. Quote
Jag_Bassist Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 Awesome that's perfect just bought one second hand for 50 quid Quote
Nessy Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) Probably too late, but using a passive ABY pedal in A or B mode between 2 instruments to 1 amp really shouldn't cause any signal degradation at all (assuming you haven't changed anything else in your set-up to accommodate it e.g. removing a buffered pedal) - it's literally just an extension of a guitar cable. Maybe the EHX is faulty? Edited January 27, 2014 by Nessy Quote
arcureo Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Yeah, just for the fact that it is passive it means that is just a switch. Almost no circuitry at all (almost). The signal degradation should be almost non-existent! But it's a good thing you solved the issue with an LS2 Quote
