We have a gear porn forum for this very thing :)
[/quote]

...and the fretless porn thread, which is even better because the basses are completely naked. :D

Hi guys, I guess I created this thread for you to post your basses, show off your gear! Let's have some interesting conversation about everyone's basses :)

Cheers!

Great idea. I'm surprised no one had thought of this earlier. :D

Perhaps it could be a Bass Porn thread for pics of peoples entire collections of basses rather than limited to a particular make/model/colour/state of fretting etc.. ?

I'll start

Left to Right - my modded Squier P, OLP MM3 5 String, Ibanez SR300. My mate's Fender Jazz Modern Player is creeping in on the left too!

I'm not the one complaining (that much ;)), I'm also not hording the high end ones, those I had to build myself.

There is a reasonable market with lefty low-budget and higher up low-budget basses but with nowhere near as much choice as is available righty, there is also a little bit of high-ish end and high end but not that much in-between.

In the past the lack of higher end ones forced me to start building my own high-enders, I've never looked back.
Nowadays I prefer to buy cheap ones and make them higher end myself.

I've been thinking of getting an anodised gold plate for my Precision and this has convinced me to.
