Black Coffee Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 These look like cool pieces of kit. Anybody got anything to report on them? I'm tempted by the multi wave pro, but the OFD modeler looks appealing too. Help. . . Quote
mcnach Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I own the Soundblox2 Bass Multiwave Distortion, and both the standard and pro versions of the Bass Envelope Filter. The multiwave is a lot of fun, but unusual. The distortions have a kind of synth-like character to them, so not the best thing for rock... but nice funky sounds can be made there. The envelope filter pedals are great. A bit on the large side, but really good. Quote
phil.i.stein Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 i kept the filter, and passed on the distortion. Quote
Black Coffee Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 The opinions on it aren't lighting a fire. I can't get to try one before before buying so I would maybe be wise to avoid until I get the chance. Thanks for the replies. Quote
fretmeister Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I had the original drive pedal. As said already it was quite synthy. I quite liked it but in the end I found a regular drive pedal and an envelope filter to be more flexible Quote
samuelcroberts Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Multiwave distortion 2 is really synthy. I like it! The octave mode is super funky and sensitive too. E.g.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOxAQrIaQj4 Apologies for single channel playback. Haven't been bothered to sort it out yet! Haha! Quote
dannybuoy Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 I have the OFD. Some great sounds in it, the low gain drive of the Tube Drive model in particular is a contender to replace my SFT! Quote
