I did consider putting together my own but the ergonomics decided against it. This bass pops up in one of my favourite films, Horror Hospital. Peter said John usually had a rough idea - bit of a dodgey sketch and a bag of bits - litterally. He left Peter to make some sense of it. Horror Hospital was made in 1973 - prior to any footage of JE using the bass that I'm aware of! I can't imagine it being a tribute bass either - it looks spot on to me, and reference material must have been scarce back then. It's hard enough to find decent pics of the bass these days!
