Highfox Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Hi. It's one of those great feelings when the new bass arrives. Got the hots for one of these and managed to find one of the last Korean ones new. Never thought I'd be going back to Warwick (nothing wrong with them) I used a Streamer for 15 years or so, but have been mainly all Fender since. The fit and finish on this is great, setup nicely from the shop, Just strung it with some Dunlop rounds and it sounds really nice, I was thinking flats but it already has a very dark sound on both pickups. It's very easy to play, the neck is super quick, think a nice Jazz. It feels a bit strange standing up playing it at the moment, the neck feels very long for some reason, 34" A crap camera phone photo doesn't really do it any justice, it's bit darker looking than the powder blue it looks here.. but I know the score, no pic, no bass Quote
HowieBass Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I was thinking "right I know what Warwicks look like" started scrolling down then was like "oh wow! that's NICE" Quote
KiOgon Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Loving it, cool as F, but Dunlop rounds? Do you mean tyres? Quote
Highfox Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 Thanks Guys. The Dunlop Nickle plated I love them when they work, but so far out of 4 packs I have a dead E out of the bag and then an A snapped at the ball end stringing up another fresh set.. Not a great record!. Top marks to Strings Direct have been great on getting me a fresh new set each time I have had a problem tho Quote
Clarky Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014
Very cool. Love the colour.
+1 Nice score Mr Fox Quote
thisnameistaken Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I guess the neck will feel long because of where the front strap point is fitted. My Thumb feels like it has a really long neck for the same reason (and it looks really long because of the 26 frets...) That is bloody lovely though. And I've never seen one like it. Quote

BigRedX Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Very nice! I'm still kicking myself for not buying the B-stock 5-string that Thomann had... Quote
Ou7shined Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I'm not a W-ophile but that looks sweet. Quote
Highfox Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 So. I got to use this in anger at rehearsal today, absolutely great and the rest of the band loved it Gig tomorrow but as I have no case for it yet, it will have to stay at home Quote
