NickD Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Hi all, another returns to the fold! I've been lurking for few weeks, after finding this place while looking for a little information on Google. I've not had cause to post until now, as the search function has provided pretty much all I wanted to know until now, but I thought I'd better stick my head above the parapet and say hello. I started 25 years ago, trawling around the country in a variety of dodgy rock bands, then a bit of rock cabaret around Europe doing mostly forces bases. Eventually decided to move down south and seek my fortune, but kinda got caught up in having a regular life... Never could bring myself to sell up completely though. Every few years someone would ask me to play on something, and the bass would come out, the job would get done, and the bass would be returned to it's dark spot under the bed... But this time I can't seem to put it away. I think it's about time I learned to play the damn thing properly! Married with young children now, it's unlikely that I'll get out and play again for a number of years, and that doesn't bother me too much, life is good as it is, but who knows. I'm planning to just get stuck in and play for the sake of it. I'll see you around! Quote
