Mark Bass rack ears.

I am the proud owner of Marbass SA450. Im off to get a rack unit in the morning. Are the ears standard for this model. I know the LMK had its own ears. I have the screws ... you think £500, they would throw in the ears.

Also any general racking info would be great.

I got rack ears with my SA450 - I would give PROEL, the uk distributors, a phone call.... btw, where did you get one for £500? Second-hand?

Bass Merchant £499. Can't wait to plug it in. I WILL get over to Bass Direct sometime to try out a few cabs with my new head.

Cabs are my next project and Leamington is on my to do list.

although perhaps I should stay well away because I have fallen in love with ....

Well I'm the very very happy owner of an SA450 which came with rack ears (got mine for £475, not from Mark: lets say I haggle hard )

Also got a Berg AE410 off Mark, and the pairing is absolutely outstanding. Haven't gigged it yet, but at a rehearsal in a live venue space it was just amazing. Cant say enough good stuff about it to be honest! Unless you fully intend to dent the wallet dont go near Mark's lair - really

And if I won the lottery tomorrow I'd have the Wood & Tronics 4 string off him on the same day! And order a matching 5 too....

Those Mark Bass ears must be bigger than Prince Charles' to get it to fit into a 2u rack!

I phoned up The Bass Merchant and he said he had a pair of Mark Bass ears floating around and was pretty sure that were from the SA450, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

To be honest if that fails I dont think it's beyond my capabilities to ebay some cheap "standard" ears and relocate a few holes if needs be, even though Im from West Bromwich.

Then again I have no experience of racking. (ooeerr!!)

I like the look of the gator stuff, anybody good or bad with gator?

My ears have arrived! Top marks to Bass Merchant! small problem was sorted out immediately with no problems, no questions. Could have caused me some grief without the ears.
