The Walloper
Can anyone recommend any polish to use on a Rickenbacker, and any techniques? A bit apprehensive with it being a delicate bass, and looking for some advice on how to bring it back to life. Also got a chip on the neck lacquer which i'm hoping to sort out at some point. martthebass
I just use Dunlop spray on mine and use a microfiber cloth. Seems to come up fine. One thing to note though, I'm on my 3rd Rick and not one of them has had the sort of deep gloss finish of say, a Musicman. They seem it have fine lines in the top coat which doesn't polish out using a standard prep like planet waves polish.
iiipopes
In the USA, a favourite is original Zymol. That's what I use on my 4002 (yes, "2", not "1" nor "3"), my 320, and my 360-12WB OS FG ckbd.
