dangerboy Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I'm downsizing my recording setup. I don't need 5 different ways to record a bass guitar, for example. First to go is this Heil PR-40. The paintwork is a bit beaten up, yes, but the mic works perfectly and isn't dented or gouged. This is a large-diaphragm dynamic microphone, so it's perfect for recording bass cabs, kick drums, or the human voice. It's a bit like the Electrovoice RE-20 in that it was designed for voiceover artists and radio presenters, but turned out to be amazing on bass too. These are currently £352 on Thomann http://www.thomann.de/gb/heil_sound_pr40.htm , so I think £100 posted (in mainland UK) is a pretty good price. It comes with the original mic clip. You can read what everyone else thinks of these here: http://www.gearslutz.com/board/reviews/680057-heil-pr40.html[attachment=153910:IMG_20140202_102400.jpg][attachment=153911:IMG_20140202_102353.jpg]
Owen Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First dibs if you decide to sell?
jeid Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Not gonna be selling mate, been looking for something along these lines for a while. Delighted to have gotten this mic. Read so many positive things about it!
jeid Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Aye, it'll mainly be used as a kick mic, but I'm sure I'll make use of it for other things. Trying to expand my mic collection a bit.
