bertbass
I've just read the thread about the new Ashdown Rootmaster 420 and Mr Ashdown said, "You often find people are more keen to point out when they have problems than reporting that all is well and something is doing its job as intended", which is very true. So I'd like to say that all is well with my Streamliner 900 and it's doing its job as intended. Edited February 4, 2014 by bertbass

chris_b
I think that problems with products in all areas have always been talked about. Alfasud anyone? If Mr A doesn't like that then the answer is to focus more on his QC. The fact that he doesn't like people pointing out the problems, is part of his problem. Salt on your Bass?
Mr a was simple defending a bit of a harsh statement, and nicely so as his response was acknowledged by the poster as fair points. Anyway, I like the sentiment of this thread. My abm evo ii is running lovely! Edited February 5, 2014 by Salt on your Bass?
Graham
My Genz Streamliner is working more or less as intended - has an intermittent fault with the LED unit that is more trouble to fix than it's worth.
VTypeV4
Famous last words but both of mine are indeed working just as intended.. Watch all my valves melt now! As for the Ashdown comment, I think Mr A handled it nicely. He offered a little defence but kinda had a laugh about it and took it on the chin at the same time. I'm not a massive fan of their traditional lines but respect Ashowns' innovation and bravery with new ranges and apparently the customer service is second-to-none. CamdenRob
Ashdown do seem to have good customer service. I'd never buy any of their products though as I think they sound crap. My Genz rig seems to be behaving itself.

jimrs2k
I was using ashdown for ten years a ABM 410 combo, then later a abm head and cabs, only ever had to change a pre amp tube in the combo. Never let me down once, how bad can that be ) Edited February 13, 2014 by jimrs2k

Jack
In 9 years of GK ownership I once blew a fuse on my 1001-II. Mr Gallien sent me a box of new fuses from the states. All running well here.
badboy1984
I've never had a problem with Ashdown products. They never die or blow up on me, I'm using a LB30 valve head now and looking to grab their VS cab to go along. Ashdown amp sounds better with ashdown cab in my ears. bartelby
The used Ashdown JJ-500 I picked up from here has already lasted more than twice as long as both Ampeg PF-500s, I had, put together. It's never intermittently cut out, tripped out or shutdown... I'd buy Ashdown again, before I'd buy Ampeg.
