doctor_of_the_bass
Ah! Another fine fence! We should get together and become BASS Overlords! Very tasty! Nick (54 basses and counting!)

Haha just joking, awesome collection man i'm really liking the white ones with gold hardware, very classy Just out of interest, how many non-spector basses do you own? BigRedX
I really like the original 1976 US Spector SB1! That's really unusual. What's the pickup? Looks a bit like a chrome Model 1? And how does that sound?
XB26354
Bloody hell that is a lot of Spectors... in fact that is a lot of basses
lee4
Surrey has one of the lowest crime rates in the UK. Are you within 5 miles of Godalming? Do you have a dog? Do you have an alarm? Are you out between 07.00 and 17.30? Can the serial numbers be removed? Do you think I have GAS?
Basszilla
Sweet collection!! Yeah, how does the old school model compare soundwise to the rest of the herd?

I need a drink, or a good cry, or both.

Thanks again-lee
7string
Geez, what a great collection Spectors have always been one of my favourite basses. I remember playing an older USA NS2 and it was unreal, so my fave of your armoury has to be the black 80's NS2 !!
DaveDDF
How the bloody hell do you pick what to play for gigs. PS. Gimme one of the white ones, anyone will do. Having that many is just rude!
warwickhunt
Awesome Time to start collecting my Wicks again On a serious note! How much difference do you notice between the various (NT) Euro and USA models?

ZMech
oh come on now. that's just being mean. All you're doing is driving up the price of spectors for the rest of us (supply and demand and all that)! Is there really much difference in sound, especially once you're on stage?

Larry DiMarzio had links to the same luthiers co-operative that sprouted Stuart Spector, Ned Steinberger, Vinnie Fodera etc..... It's got a nice full tone, though obviously being passive it's not as powerful as the other basses....
cetera
Which is your favourite?
It's really hard to choose..... many have different preamps (Tonepump, EMG, Aguilar, Spector, HazLab) and different feels to the neck.... The cherry sunburst pre-Kramer US NS2 is precious because it was my first Spector and it has the lovely HazLab preamp. The holoflash black US NS2 Custom is a fave because it is a very limited finish, hand built in the US workshop, has amazingly colourful abalone crown inlays & looks a million dollars under stage lights. The white Euros (Euro 4 & NS2JA-CR) are very special as they are brand new, mint and I've always LOVED white Spectors. The rest are all wonderful too..... what a question to ask..... it's like choosing your favourite child!

In the Tears Are Falling video he used a 'porsche red' US Kramer NS2 with black hardware. That's one that's on my GAS list..... It's all about a higher grade of maple and hand finishing really.... Personally if I were to buy any more US Spectors they would be s/h ones from the 80's, either pre-Kramer or Kramer. Much better value for money and the chance of a HazLab preamp inside....
