juliusmonk
Note: cash price is 650£ - reduced to 600£ Hi everyone I planned to keep this for at least another 10 years out of historical value, but what's the point anyway - it's sitting here getting no playing time... So a completely original (minus one screw, see below) top of the line Made in Japan Ibanez Musician MC924, a 1981 exemplar with the typical 'Dark Stain' finish. Various minor battle scars here and there, but overall in very good condition. Two drawbacks: - missing truss rod cover - significant buckle rash (I guess) on the battery compartment cover, where the screw has been replaced. The 'damage' is also apparent in the wood immediately next to the cover screw, to the left of it. It all pictured below. This all has no effect whatsoever on the bass, other than cosmetically. I have tried to account for it in the cash price. Comes with the original hard case in pretty good condition for the age - just normal wear on the outside, pretty much intact on the inside. Comes also with what I believe is an original accessory (but happy to be corrected if not): a thumb rest, with screws. It's never been installed. Electronics work as they should, neck is great. As you all know, these are neckthrough basses, have a PU selector switch, an active/passive switch, 3 band eq, volume, boost (e.g. to harmonise active and passive volumes) and tone. Ebony fingerboard, excellent pickups and hardware. A true classic, and a beast by today's standards. Shipping included. Open to trades, humbucking PUs, maple boards preferred. I can add some cash for the right instrument, but not a lot. juliusmonk
Indeed! Could we call it 'heavy relic' so that I can raise the price? 😀 Anyhow, for the avoidance of doubt, the bass works perfectly.
