Just to add to it it has a fantastic neck profile, my one tutor at uni fell in love with it when he played it recently. It's very light in weight, and very eye-catching . You're welcome to try it, it's in Birmingham.
ambient Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 Phew, 1,390 views, but no real interest. A sign of the times I guess, plus 6's are still a bit of a niche market.
ambient Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 Bump. Very slim and narrow, easy to play 6 string. Only something like 17mm string spacing, sounds amazing, and a fantastic price too.
ambient Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 Still, still, still available . Possibly gonna keep it if it doesn't go soon.
ambient Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 Bump. I am open to reasonable offers.
ambient Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014
What's the nut width?
It's 53mm at the nut, 73mm at the 12th fret and 83mm at the 24th.
funkle Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Interesting.... Any neck dive when seated or standing?
ambient Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014
Interesting.... Any neck dive when seated or standing?
No, it hangs really nicely, the weight is biased ever so slightly to the body, so it just hangs in the perfect position. I used it briefly last year for a couple of live things at university, my one tutor tried it and fell in love with it. He's not a 6 string player, but thought it was without doubt the nicest playing 6 string he'd played.
ambient Posted March 18, 2014 Author Posted March 18, 2014 I've had a few rather low trade offers from people, well meaning I'm sure, but this bass would be £2500 if ordered new from Mayones, so this is a bargain price for a great bass. I don't need to sell it, I'm happy it just sitting here with just the occasional bump until I find a buyer. I will be taking it off sale soon, I have a loads of course work to do and exams coming up that I need to concentrate on. So if it doesn't sell in the next week or so, it'll be withdrawn until the summer, so if you're interested get in quick .
ambient Posted March 22, 2014 Author Posted March 22, 2014 (edited) I just put some rather nice Fodera nickel's on this, and have to say it's sounding brilliant . Edited March 25, 2014 by ambient
ambient Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 Getting fed up of bumping type bump. So someone make me a realistic offer, or offer me one of the basses in my signature for a trade.
ambient Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014
Is this a 34" scale length?
It is yes, 34" scale, nice and very comfortable to play.
