Mr. BassmanPT Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 does anyone here has anything to say about such luthiers? what is your expericence with them? which models did you try? alternatives in the same quality? i am looking for an upright for jazz playing and from Bjorn Stoll, the Dresden model caught my attencion, Casa Parramon i like the Mastri Model. Both models cost about the same. Quote
geoffbassist Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I've not played either I'm afraid, but wanted to add that Bjorn Stoll have a great reputation. I've not heard of Casa Parramon, where are they sold? Quote
Mr. BassmanPT Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) They are Spanish. Their models look good at least. Edited February 13, 2014 by Mr. BassmanPT Quote
jonzbass Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 As an alternative, you may consider Akos Balazs basses, tremendous value for sure! Quote
Mr. BassmanPT Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 Sent an email asking for price list. More alternatives? Quote
ubassman Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Have a look at Bryant - I rate Pauls work and am a proud owner of a Byant Solo http://www.bryantbasses.co.uk Quote
Mr. BassmanPT Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 (edited) Those look good. Thanks for letting me know. In the meantime I stumbled on a very nice and used giovinazzy. Anyone knows anything about them? I wasn't lucky with a website Google search. Edited February 22, 2014 by Mr. BassmanPT Quote
Mr. BassmanPT Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Yes. Got a reply but for that money I would prefer a Bjorn Stoll Dresden Quote
