Clarky
I just got a bass in a G&G hard case and both latches are broken. Annoyingly the missing elements (identical issue on each latch) are not in the shipping box so the seller obviously shipped the case knowing it to be broken. Unfortunately it came from the US so there's no chance of sending it back. Anyone know if this is a possible fix? Cheers Pic here Edited February 14, 2014 by Clarky
gary mac
Not sure Clarky but anyways I'm more interested in what was inside the case.
neepheid
I can't help you with a fix, but as a workaround: https://www.theratchetshop.com/Mini-Ratchets ?
franzbassist
That sucks. Looks like G&G sell replacements though.
Clarky
Thanks gents - I feel a numpty as on close inspection the 'missing' bars are inside the lock (they must have sheared off in transit) I just got them out with tweezers and should be able to superglue them back in place. All is right Garymac, the case contained a Tony Franklin fretless
gary mac
Glad you sorted it. Hope you enjoy the bass, they are a lovely looking instrument.

I had a sneaky eye on that before you mentioned it and it vanished
