I've only just discovered that these basses exist. I've always liked the idea of a 5 string P with flats. Is the baddass gold or is it just the light? Lovely looking bass

Thank you! The bridge is indeed gold. I'd had it lying around for years unopened & when a saddle thread went on the stock Squier bridge it was time to fit it at last. It's a massive improvement over the cheapie stock one & adds loads to the tone.

I was just about to embark on making the rest of the hardware gold when the GAS struck hence the sale!

That reminds me, should have mentioned that the original bridge is included in ths sale.

B string is just fine, tight & clear tone. Probably not quite as good as what I hear about 35" scale jobs but perfectly adequate AFAIC!
