merello Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) Warwick introduced the Streamer CV - Classic Vintage - bass at NAMM 2013. Now Peter Baltes of Accept ordered his own Custom Shop Streamer CV according to his personal needs. This bass comes with a Red Alder body, a Maple neck and a Rosewood fingerboard with a 7,5" radius equipped with dot inlays. Peter Baltes' Streamer CV is fired with active EMG P/J pickups combined with passive MEC electronics. The ultimate highlight of this bass is obviously the special metal finish with the matching aged hardware and details. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dFECkHGmkg Edited March 24, 2014 by icastle Link fixed. dannybuoy Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 "Just for extra protection, I put three shocks in, so, you know, when I play the bass, it's so powerful, I just wanna make sure the bridge stays straight." WTF I think the bolts should do a good job of that by themselves mate. Quote
HowieBass Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I don't know who Peter Baltes is; not missing anything am I? Quote
Chris Sharman Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Hmmmm...Warwick create the Steampunk/Scapyard Bass. Not for me thanks. Quote
warwickhunt Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Each to his own I suppose but I'll not be joining the queue even if they are giving them away for free! Quote
chrismuzz Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I think it looks kind of cool, but the dot inlays seem out of place. Quote
NancyJohnson Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Does he actually say, 'badass bridge' at about the 25 second mark? Faux pas or otherwise, the bridge is a ringer for this Schaller unit here: Quote
Dingus Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Another custom bass for someone who probably used to eat crayons when he was at school because the other kids told him to. Where can I order mine? Quote
Lw. Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 That is a monstrosity! Finish looks awful, Shocks?! Just don't know what people are thinking sometimes. I don't know why but Warwick maple necks always look cheap to me for some reason. Quote
DarkHeart Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 thats horrible! if they went to so much trouble with the metal finish why stick a plastic control cavity plate on the back? Quote
Lw. Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Has anyone ever had a bridge fall off (a decent bass)? What is the actual logic behind the shocks? Quote
Roland Rock Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I don't get the logic behind the shocks either. I admire 'out there' finishes, and would prefer that to a quilted or spalted maple top any day. I've seen much nicer steampunk style basses though Quote
warwickhunt Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 No 'logic' to the shocks, they are purely (ugly) aesthetic! Quote
discreet Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Where can I get some of those 'shocks' from? Obviously all this time my bass bridge hasn't been staying straight when I'm playing powerfully! Quote
Dazed Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Ummm does he also say its made of metal ? Hey that guy plays a warwick, he's cool, so I'm going to buy one!!! Quote
Kev Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Completely awful, but a good advertisement for the custom shop. They really will do anything... Quote
maldy Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Not fussed on this particulate custom shop bass, but I do like the other streamer CVs that were unleashed last year. I would love to try one of those. However, they just don't appear to be for sale anywhere. Quote
BigRedX Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Another candidate for the "how ridiculous can the design of my bass be and Warwick will still build it" competition. Still not beating Adam Clayton's Warwick though... Quote

Mog Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Bloody awful. What's happened to Warwick? Quote
rmcki Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 (edited) Some customer shop projects may damage reputation... I have never heard such bollox. Edited March 15, 2014 by rmcki Quote
