Pete, it was great to meet you and Gary Davies last night after the St. Helens gig. Great songs, a great sound and great playing from you and every one in the band. I would cite many influences in my bass playing but I'm always amazed by those bassists whose sound and playing seems to be accompanied by an economy of movement in both hands as I always feel I'm thrashing around the neck. The best sportsmen always seem to have time at their hands/feet to make their sport seem effortless. The same applies to great bass players and watching last night I got the same feeling that you always had time and I went away from last night's gig inspired to improve myself as a bass player. Thanks for a great night. Hope to get to the Crewe gig.
