crashdesk
Hi all, Sorry but had to start a new thread for this as it's specific to vox amps. Has anyone out there got/used the AC1 battery powered Vox amp? I know there are a couple of videos out there and various opinions but nothing crystal clear on whether it is good or not. I like the vox amps and was considering this amp of the Pathfinder 10 for home use. AC1 pros Very Small Doesn't need plugged into mains Built in rhythms Input for iPod jams AC1 Cons Not sure about sound/volume. Not clear videos depicting the bass coming from the amp Pathfinder Pros Higher output Not much more expensive Cons No input for iPod Larger Needs plugged into mains Overall if I knew the bass coming from the AC1 was decent enough for home jamming I would go for it. Thanks for any advice. C
Phil Adams
I have the AC1, I would suggest it's fine for practicing at home, but nothing beyond that. Mega distortion on any volume that's audible, but like I say quite alright for home practicing, and not bad with phones.
crashdesk
Thanks Phil. I may just go with the Pathfinder if it's distorting. :-)
