BetaFunk Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014
The diabolically massive hits you mean? Always the problem. Stay musically interesting and play to small crowds of musos or 'churn out' stuff that sells millions of albums that actually allows you to keep making albums at all. A moral dilemma indeed. Allie Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 (edited)
They're all excellent players; special mention for Danny Seraphine (drums...). Definitely one of the best bands of all time, imo. "If you leave me now"..? Haunting; written by Cetera...
Did a cover of this song a while ago - not a brilliant mix and no vocals. (can't sing!) Plastic music I guess, done on PC. Cool band though! Good work on the harmonies. I abstain from singing, too..! Quote
Allie Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Thanks, but yeah, you're so right Dad. That drum track was the worst ever lol. I revisited the mix and set down a track that shouldn't be so insulting to you stick-wielding, tempo-keepers. Hand-claps gone too. I'm no drummer of any sorts, but it should be a bit more acceptable now.
I think Chicago and Pete Cetera faced an artistic dilemma rather than a moral one. Hits are one thing , but not all hits make me question my own will to live like those records do. Quote
