Have to say, Amplitube is the weakest iOS music app out of the popular ones for bass. Best by far for me is Guitarjack, but Ampkit is cool too.

Look in the settings for something relating to running in the background, could well work. But If I were you I would download one of those 2 apps. My Ric through the B15n model on Guitarjack is superb ;)

I use it (on the iPad rather than the iPhone, but same idea). No you can't run the music player at the same time, but you can import any track into it, which is a little more of a faff than it sounds but does let you play along (slow down, speed up, set balance etc).

[/quote]i use irig and find it very good, i think you have to pay for a bass amp in app store, i downloaded the ampeg one but no doubt there's loads more now.
