JPJ Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Being a huge fan of the SWR sound, I was wondering what, if anything, is going on at SWR these days? Last I heard they'd been bought out by Fender and a quick look at their website gives no clue with most of their signature products (SM Series, Redhead etc) no longer listed. Quote
Musky Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 SWR have gone the same way as Genz Benz under Fender. Another one bites the dust. Quote
paul_5 Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Yup. Sadly they are no more. . Best look into servicing my SM400 a bit more often. Quote
gsgbass Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Don't forget to add Sunn to the list that went under Fender's wheels. Quote
Gwilym Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Is there something "new" going on? Fender bought SWR well over 10 years ago. Quote
Roland Rock Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 (edited)
Is there something "new" going on? Fender bought SWR well over 10 years ago.
Fender bought SWR well over ten years ago, and kept the brand alive until around 2012. Now SWR are no more. Edited March 4, 2014 by Roland Rock Quote
