Panamonte Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 So this is my Squier CV Jazz which I bought back in 2010. I replaced the stock p/ups with Wizard 84s and put LaBella 760FS flats on it the same year, but I've recently treated it to a new pickguard and knobs and done the series/parallel mod (hence the toggle switch). it really is delight to play. That is all. Panamonte Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Thank you - I can't walk past it without picking it up now Quote
hamfist Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Oooh, that scratchplate's a bit flambouyant for most around here. Every time I post a pic with a colourful or pearloid pickguard it seems to stimulate almost unanimous disapproval on here. They're just a load of old stick-in-the-muds though. Ignore 'em ! I like it ! Quote
chris_b Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 That's a good idea.... take a low priced bass that plays well and make it sound as good as an expensive bass. The pg looks fine. I think a white bass needs something to make it stand out. Quote

uncle psychosis Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I like that, a lot. Good work! Series / Parallel is a great mod for a jazz. McNach has a lovely Jazz bass that he modded, and then sold to me (before I sold it back to him ) and I loved that feature. Quote
