visog Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 No thread on this or have I missed it? I'm not going 'cause its a right old din and there seem to be more celebrity bass guests than players - Jeff Berlin excepted but I've heard enough of his chorused dom 7 arpeggios to last a lifetime. Am I just being grumpy and out of touch? Thoughts? Quote
CamdenRob Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I'm just going to check out gear... zero interest in anyone playing, I haven't heard of most of them. Quote
Same here but put off by the £23 advance/£25 on the door to look at stuff in a very noisy environment where touch is more prevalent than sound Quote
yorks5stringer Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I'm going but looking out my ear plugs.... Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Even grumpies like you guys are welcome - see you there Quote

Personally I am absolutely gutted not be going, but fiscal and geographical factors make it impossible. Does anyone fancy working out how many albums Lee Sklar and Mo Foster have appeared on between them?? Quote
Grangur Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 My guess is Lee Skylar has lost count. Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 "Lee Skylar" is exactly the way it's spelt in the masterclass list in the LBGS 2014 guide I picked up this afternoon Quote
visog Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 OK so I'm a grump.. guilty as charged... So how was it for all you happy visitors? Did Nigel Clutterbuck stick to the 15minute rule? Did everyone avoid playing an open 'E'? Did Jeff Berlin keep his opinions to himself? Quote
visog Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Anyone? How was it? More than happy to be told I missed a cracking show... but tell me why? Quote
Roland Rock Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 (edited) Dude, see post 2 ;-) It's all here: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/207161-the-london-bass-guitar-show-2014/page__st__210 Edited March 4, 2014 by Roland Rock Quote
visog Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Oh yeah! Nice one thanks... I seldom look at the pinned posts 'cause they're usually ancient history! Quote
Beedster Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I though from the title that this thread was about Michael's new bass? Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Hey, pinned posts are bloody well NOT ancient history since we FMs have taken over and WORKED HARD on cleaning up the old rubbish and keeping our respective patches up to date! Quote

Silvia Bluejay Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) I'm resurrecting this thread for those who don't "do" the Events forum. I've added a reply from Joel McIver regarding improvements to the 2015 LBGS here: http://basschat.co.u...ost__p__2394165. Feel free to take a look at the previous 2-3 pages of posts too. If you'd like to add comments, please reply on the Events thread, not this one. Thanks Edited March 13, 2014 by bluejay Quote
icastle Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I was shocked to find that there's no The London Bass Guitar Show 2015 thread yet! C'mon bluejay, you're slacking... Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 You bet I'll be on it as soon as they announce the 2015 dates! http://www.londonbassguitarshow.com/ Quote
