Nodd
I've just snagged a used but recent Squier P Bass Special (lefty) from the web. Do any of you have one? if so, can you tell me what the channeling under the pickguard is like? i.e. has it the 'hole' from finish spraying and is the pick up cable channel routed? Thanks, Nodd
gary mac
I can't remember what it's like under the pick guard on that model. If no one comes along to answer, guess you'll have to take a peek under the pg. Sorry, no help at all really but I just didn't like seeing your question hanging here with no responses. Just wait till they all get home from the Bass Show, bet you will be inundated.
bertbass
I didn't go to the bass show and I've got one of them and I'm left handed. Not sure about the hole but the p pickup is routed through to the control cavity and the J has a hole drilled from the pickup cutout to the control cavity. Hope this helps. Nodd
Thanks Chaps, just having new pickguard/ no pickguard thoughts... I really should learn to be more patient!
theyellowcar
My Squier P doesn't have the 'hanging hole' but the cavity for the electronics is pretty huge! I definitely wouldn't go sans guard.
Nodd
Thank you both. Looks like I might also have a challenge with the proposed chrome pick up cover like my P
