karlfer Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) WILL CONSIDER THIS PLUS A FEW HUNDRED QUID YOUR WAY, AGAINST POSSIBLE FENDER CUSTOM SHOP. As it says, 2009, spare black scratch plate. Very good condition, some "certain light" scuffing on back, one dint, not through paint, near jack. Comes with the hard foam Sadowsky case. Only for sale as it is the only bass I have that can raise enough money to put a very special bass within my reach. This is now my main gigging bass. If the special one I am looking at gets sold, this will be removed. Price shown is collected from Wigan. An extra £40 for fully insured courier, mainland UK only. Sorry, I will not take PAINPal. I will accept cash on collection, cleared bank transfer or cleared cheque. My feedback at bottom of post. Awful photos follow. As anybody who has bought a bass off me will confirm, I'm the worlds worst picture taker. Harrythebassdawg Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Nice one Karl, I think everyone should have a sadowsky in their collection at some point good luck!
lou24d53 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Well that love affair never lasted long! I still kinda miss her a bit, but still having too much fun with the '75 Jazz to notice really!

JazzBassfreak Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) Would give my Alembic in a heartbeat for this. Gorgeous bass Karl. Edited March 2, 2014 by JazzBassfreak
JazzBassfreak Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) In all seriousness though XD Edited March 2, 2014 by JazzBassfreak
karlfer Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) Thanks chaps. This is my go to gigging bass. I have only put it up because none of my others would raise anything like enough to help get the rare CS that has come up. The only reason I would like the CS is because of the fretboard profile. Played one once, a real 61, and the board was out of this world. This Sadowsky is a bit cheaper than the other one that's up, because it's a bit older. If the CS goes before this, well, I won't be gutted . Cheers, Karl. Edited March 4, 2014 by karlfer
karlfer Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Interesting, first time I've put a bass up and had no pm's in the first day . Still, it's a Sadowsky, it's a lot of money and it's a fund raiser. Perhaps the Custom Shop 60 RI jazz is not meant to be.

[/quote] It's seeming people aren't buying basses as much these past few months, still wouldn't question giving a limb for that Sadowsky, mind you I already owe one for my Fodera XD *jokes but silently dies a little inside. As you said to me my friend, only a matter of time, someone is bound to take an interest. You played an NYC before?
karlfer Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 Well JBF, your Fodera is just amazing. No, I've not tried a NYC, too rich for my blood in the pubs we do every week . If I was still doing originals in bigger places I might re-think, but to be honest, a P or a J covers everything I need nowadays. Cheers, Karl.
leroydiamond Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Hi, What does the Guitar weigh and what is the radius of the neck?
karlfer Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 Weighs 9lb 4oz 12 inch radius, flatter than most Fender's. That is probably why I find it to be so good. In reply to another question, yes it is active/passive with the VTC. Cheers, Karl.
karlfer Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) PM replied, sorry, no trades it's a fund raiser. Only for sale until the Fender CS 1960 RI I am looking at, is sold. Cheers, Karl. edited for spelling as usual Edited March 10, 2014 by karlfer
mckendrick Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 If that was a rosewood board I'd be on me way to Wigan, now... ...and Karl; you have to top scrawling on them cushions. I'll not tell thi' again.

karlfer Posted March 15, 2014 Author Posted March 15, 2014 (edited) I will consider part exchanging this for a Fender Custom Shop, ie this and a negotiable few hundred quid to you, depending on the CS. Ta, Karl. Edited March 15, 2014 by karlfer
Flex Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 (edited) Loverly bass Karl, shame you not a Dingwall fan cause got a beaut AB1-4...... or a 57RI P bass Edited March 15, 2014 by Flex
karlfer Posted March 15, 2014 Author Posted March 15, 2014 (edited) Thanks Flex, fabulous basses sadly both scare me . The Dingwall for the obvious reason and the 57RI because it will be 44.5mm nut width and I would struggle with that. Good luck and thanks for the bumps, as none of the PM'ers have done that . You know who you are On hold. Edited March 19, 2014 by karlfer
