Phil Adams
I know there are lots of discussions regarding lighter weight rigs but may I ask for some specific opinions about the TC combos please? Are any of the speaker options better than others? Does anyone gig with one of these (obviously not the Albert Hall or 02), would a 1 x 12 or 1 x 15 be up to pubs and small halls with a live drummer? (without running through an ancient PA!) I thank you.
tonyquipment
I'm not a boffin about speaker size but I know that's its loud. I play in a primitive noise punk band and it drowns out the guitar in rehearsal It resonates in your chest/ makes the room shake. Exactly what I want with bass However it's totally tonally subjective to what you want. Some say its a cold sounding amp and blah blah but for me, it's definitely usable. Given the tone print and DI out etc
LeftyBiskit
I play in an 8 piece soul band, it's certainly up to the task with volume to spare. I'm considering trying the 2x10 option,
jezzaboy
I`ve gigged the 1x15 with no pa support quite a few times and have never had any problem being loud enough. I don`t think I have had the master above 6 and I played with a loud drummer miked up through the pa.
