Sort of... the Darkstars were inspired by the original Bi-Sonics that came with these very basses. That's probably the new reissue Starfire bass that came out last year, I don't know if the Bi-Sonics they come with sound the same as the old ones. Bound to be plenty of discussion on the subject elsewhere!

Really like his stuff. Practised in the rehearsal room next door to him for two weeks on the trot, then couldn't get tickets to his gig at The Barrowlands....typical!

Good old (young) Paolo. From the release of his first single I was sure there was loads more classics to come from him. The snippets I've heard from his new album sound great.

In fact, he's such a great singer and songwriter with such obvious Motown influences, it would have been great if the old Motown 'Funk Brothers' houseband could have got their hands on some of his stuff. That would have been amazing to hear. But sadly, most of them are pushing up daisies now.
