timbass
I am on vacation with family in Delray Beach, FL for two weeks and would like to hire a 3/4 DB to keep up with my practice and possibly take some tuition. Any of you kind, wise people have any advice for me?
Dad3353
I am on vacation with family in Delray Beach, FL for two weeks and would like to hire a 3/4 DB to keep up with my practice and possibly take some tuition. Any of you kind, wise people have any advice for me?
Two weeks..? I'd suggest taking a break from "Jazz, Blues, electric bass, acoustic bass, arboriculture and chainsaw fun" and enjoying the holiday with the family. Isn't that how the expression goes..? "All work and no play..." etc..? Chill out and enjoy Florida; it'll go by in a flash. Just my tuppence-worth. (...and less of the "kind, wise" stuff, if you please. You'll have me feeling old... )
thisnameistaken
How odd. I was supposed to be in Delray Beach this week with work but it didn't happen. Enjoy what should be MY holiday!
Rabbie
Completely agree with dad. Take time off: it'll do you good, you'll be fresher and keener on your return and your family will really thank you for it.
Kirky
Had a great holiday in Delray Beach some 21 years ago - enjoy!
Hector
Sometimes even not practising is a form of practising. Clear your mind and come back to the instrument refreshed! Taking tongue out of cheek briefly, why not try posting with our american friends over at talkbass.com? Someone might be able to help you out.
