kevin_lindsay Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I'm playing this for the first time, and it's sounding and looking fantastic. Anyone else received a copy? Quote
steve-bbb Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 checked it out on spotify sounds really good Quote
kevin_lindsay Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 The dvd is really well done - fantastic live footage interspersed with interviews and touring clips. Quote
ambient Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I've got the 'ground up' CD/DVD which is really good, lots of live studio footage. The one guy's one of the tutors at uni . Quote
grahamd Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 On spotify too, sounds great, less compressed than a lot of stuff on there Quote
leroybasslines Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Michael League is a fabulous player! Quote
lowdown Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 I know solos are the work of the devil on Basschat, and possibly need to be cleared with the mods first. But this keyboard solo (in the middle) is just fantastic (my opinion of course). http://youtu.be/L_XJ_s5IsQc Quote
toneknob Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 What's wrong with solos? As well as the other Snarky CDs, which come with a bonus DVD (I've got groundUP and Tell Your Friends), I can also recommend Pupps' keyboard player Bill Laurence's new release Flint, which also comes with a bonus DVD. (Also also, Michael League is on the cover of the August 2014 Bass Player magazine) Quote
toneknob Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 And they're on the main stage at Love Supreme festival on Saturday, 2pm ish. See you there! Quote
lowdown Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 (edited)
What's wrong with solos?
None in my book, I love them (all Instruments). It was just a tongue in cheek quip from me (I can't get BC emoticons on my iPad for some reason). Cory Henry is just great. http://youtu.be/aMRgsxF1jJ0 Edited June 29, 2014 by lowdown Quote
Bassnut62 Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Saw them recently in Brum and they are great musicians; but a bit too pleased with themselves for my liking, particularly the bass player. Saw Prince recently too and the Puppies could learn a lot about humility from the Purple One. Still they are a good band and well worth seeing I reckon Quote
toneknob Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Another one for the Cory fans (caution, no bass content) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLDKGbhr5Ps Quote
