madshadows Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 The Ballad Of Mott The Hoople Documentary on BBC4 tonight at 23.35 (1 hour long, edited version of the DVD release) This is well worth watching, great doc. on an underrated band IMHO and probably my favourite ever band http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01r3pmc John Quote
Balcro Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Thanks for the tip. Now securely recorded. Balcro. Quote
JTUK Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Didn't realise they had so many hits...and a much overlooked band. They sounded like a real handful live and I liked it when Roger Taylor said he thought Queen were as good when they supported them. Very very much doubt it... Quote

Phil Adams Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I watched it, was very interesting. I had no idea they were such a hot live band even before Dudes. Apart from the hits, I didn't go that much on the rest of the music played, sorry. Quote

discreet Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) I saw when it was shown a few months ago. Well worth watching and highly entertaining. As is Ian Hunter's book 'Diary Of A Rock 'N' Roll Star'. Hilarious. Edited March 9, 2014 by discreet Quote
