Grangur
I know BC has had some issues when working in the latest versions of Internet Exploder. What browser are you using? (Not that I'm any expert on these things) If you're using you could try clicking the button in the menu bar for "Compatibility view", this makes IE work in a mode that's compatible with older servers - like BC. Kev
Hmm, what you are describing doesn't sound like a forum error and rather a PC error, although I hear what you are saying. What browser and version are you using?
dmccombe7
It's Internet Explorer but not sure what version. I only bought the laptop new last year ?
Grangur
Its not impossible that Windows has installed a nice new updated version without you knowing. Look for a button on your tool bars that looks like a broken page. Have a look here: http://technology.pitt.edu/help/help-index/ie10-compatview.html
dmccombe7
Internet Explorer 11 by looks of it but cant find the compatability button on the header toolbar. Think this all happened when changed to BT which opens as mybrowser with google if that makes sense
Grangur
Ahhh... that makes sense. There had to be something that's changed the software in some way. I'd recommend you install another browser and start using that. I use Google Chrome. Firefox is also good.

Dave [/quote] The javascript text editor doesn't work with the latest versions of IE. If you don't want to load up other browsers on your pc, just toggle the "fancy" editor off while you work with it and your quotes will work and your typing will not be interrupted. It's the first button at the top-left of the text editor toolbar. Cheers Ed
icastle
Yep - I get the same if I use IE11 on W8.1. Using the basic text editor or a different browser is the current answer.
dmccombe7
I had been using the editor toggle altho i wasn't exactly sure what it was but it worked. Still didn't get the quotes to work but its all sorted now altho i'm typing from work at moment (just finished so its allowed) and its not a problem. Chrome def works 100% for me. Modern technology ....... what can you do ......eh !!!! thanks for the excellent replies and sorting it all out for me guys. Very much appreciated. icastle
I know it's a bit like the old 'have you switched it off and on again' advice that IT Helpdesks are often ridiculed for using, but if any part of the site doesn't work properly then it's more than likely going to involve IE11.
