njr911
Our trusty old Peavey head gave up the ghost on Saturday. Thankfully it got us through the gig on it's last legs. We now need to replace it. We have decent Behringer 15" speakers (passive). What does the collective recommend ? (Budget £260) I think - Power Amp ~800 watts Mixer ?? Some sort of monitor speakers Decent cables
barkin
FWIW, for a small vocal only PA in pubs etc, we use a Yamaha EMX powered mixer. Great bit of kit IMO.
njr911
Currently vocal only but we would like the flexibility of putting bass/drums through it for outdoor gigs. Our 15" tops should be able to handle it with the addition of a sub ? If possible with the added complication of keeping it portable I want the moon on a stick ! grandad
I'll echo Barkin above, I've used 3 of the Yamaha EMX range of powered mixers over the last few years & ended up buying the top of the range EMX5016cf. If you can stretch your budget they do crop up 2nd hand but keep their value.
