Tobias Toby Pro 6

Morning all.
I've seen a Toby pro 6 in bubinga up for sale.
Simple question...are they crap?
They seem to be very
"Pimp-able".... Maybe changing the pups and preamp.
Maybe they are really cool basses as they are.....anyone have any experience with these admittedly great looking basses......too good to be true?
