How do I get an Avatar/Image on my Profile please?

Can anybody help me please? I have tried but just don't ever get a result.

Brief guide (because I'm at work) Sshhhhhh....

Go to 'Your profile' at the top of the screen
Click on 'my profile'
Click on 'change' in the grey picture box
Then you should get the option to either add a picture from your hard drive, or one from an image hosting website (eg photobucket)

I've managed to do it, - so it shouldn't be too difficult!

It won't happen. I just keep getting a message telling me that my attempt has failed. I choose a pic and the process starts but it doesn't put the pic on my profile. Any suggestions out there please?

What format is your image? Basschat only supports JPEG, PNG and GIF.

If i send them to other emails etc they come up as jpeg but I just can't seem to get them on here. I can get pics up for sale from the same files but not on my profile

Maybe your pic is too large, I'm not sure if there is a size limit but it might be worth trying it with a reduced image.

My pics are 400 X 400 pixels and work OK.
The actual size of the avatar as it appears here << is 100 X 100 pixels.

The image doesn't change instantly; sometimes it takes a while for the new image to appear. IME, anyway.

Refresh your web browser, sometimes they use images in the cache memory to make everything run a bit quicker. Refreshing it forces the computer to reload everything afresh.
