Dragonlord Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 This is a great little preamp if you have a passive bass and want to make it active without drilling holes on it... It's basically Aguilar's OBP-1 in a box. I have the original box, but nothing more (no manual that is). It has a few scratches and velcro on the bottom, but works perfect. Sells for 269 euro plus shipping at the german dealer (musik schmidt), I'm selling this for $205 shipped through paypal or 150 euro with bank transfer (around 100 GBP). Will post pics later.
Marcus Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 No it's just a pre-amp very similar to the old Sadowsky pre-amp before they made that into a DI box too.... !! Marcus
Dragonlord Posted June 29, 2007 Author Posted June 29, 2007 As Marcus said, it's only a preamp. It's exactly like having an Aguilar OBP-1 onboard preamp in your bass, only you don't need to make new holes or have a professional install it, as it's just a pedal, you go from the bass into the DB-924 and then from that to the amp. It's an 18V 2-band preamp. Here is the Musik Schmidt page where you can see more info and the new price: http://www.musik-schmidt.de/osc-schmidt/ca...mp-p-15470.html If you're interested in a good DI, I also have a new Sansamp programmable BDDI for sale in another topic.
Dragonlord Posted July 4, 2007 Author Posted July 4, 2007 (edited) $180 shipped. Half of the german new price. edit: that's around 90 pounds. Edited July 4, 2007 by Dragonlord
Simon Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Wow, can't believe this hasn't sold yet! Have a free bump on me, because I have one and it's the nuts!!! Very warm valve-y tones from this little beaut! Great for acoustic gigs where you don't need an amp, just this - and also the recording studio for a PHAT sound! Good luck with the sale.
Dragonlord Posted October 21, 2007 Author Posted October 21, 2007 This is still here... make me a good offer!
Dragonlord Posted November 1, 2007 Author Posted November 1, 2007 Here's a quick sample I did: first half is my bartolini-loaded dingwall in passive mode, then the Aguilar DB-924 kicks in. You can hear how it warms up and sweetens the tone. Aguilar-DB-924---first-half-off-second-half-on
