Clarky Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 A chap I met at the Sorefingers bluegrass weekend last year asked me if I wanted to play bass for a tribute evening of songs by fabled 1990s alt-country band Uncle Tupelo. I'd not heard of them but like what I hear a lot (raw-edged country rock, bit like early REM and Dinosaur Jr mashed up). So I agreed and with trepidation will be strapping on a fretted electric bass for a gig, instead of upright or fretless, for the first time in several years. The evening takes place at The Gladstone pub in Borough (nr London Bridge) and the poster is below. Its free, by the way! Clarky Posted March 15, 2014 Author Posted March 15, 2014 Cheers Michael. Thankfully the bass lines are pretty simple! Quote
