Here's some pictures taken today. I'm going up to help work on the voicing of it on Thursday.

Just been on the site and he's not making amps for the foreseeable.

Bugger.

Martin is building again and taking orders for 2015 completion.

It's giving 205 Watts clean and about 380 Watts fully clipped!

That should give my Big Twin 2 something to help it move air!

Pics from today. It's in its carcass and has a few tweaks that need to be done but it's very close to completion. Yes, that DI will be changed to male for the final build.

Channel 1 does clean to warm overdrive with a Baxendale/James tone stack and a four-way voice control.

Channel 2 does overdrive to really filthy (more so than my MXR pedal) and also has a character switch which changes it from vintage sounding to modern. This channel does Motown to Megadeth with ease.

The power section is switchable from 4 valves to 2 and also can be switched to half power in both modes. Half power on four valves sounds very different to full power on two valves. Running it flat out on half power with two valves about 50 watt) gives the dream tones at pub gig levels.

There's a presence control on the power section that brings in amazing harmonic richness.

Yum - I bet that sounds great with a BB!

It's incredible. That's the Valenti pictured, the BB is out of sight. I can't imagine my MXR M80 is going to be switched on much in future, the distortion from the amp is just beautiful and thick.

I'm going to do a video review of this when it's done and I've got my head around it. That'll be a few weeks away yet.

Looks superb! I'm trying to figure out why it's in a pub though

It's in a social club up in High Peak in Derbyshire (beautiful part of the world and very close to Shukerville).

The club rent out the room as rehearsal space. It was decided that testing this beast at Martin's house/workshop was going to be too noisy so we went somewhere where we could make as much noise as we wanted.

Apart from realising that I can only spell the shortened form- porn, I think that a slow pulsing light inside the case- very bright so that it leaks out of the case at the height of the pulse would be what I would want in a custom valve amp.
Maybe when I win the lotto.

Can't wait to hear it, man.
