I'm sure this has been posted before. I don't recall if anyone has tried. I seem to remember the general consensus being that they were not brilliant.
I haven't tried them - I must be very lucky not to have any dead spots or wolf notes on my Fenders. Although that is the advantage of buying your bass from a place where you can try it out first i suppose!

One of the replies is: "I play a Fender J-Bass fretless and use flatwound strings and I do not have this issue."

I don't know whether there was supposed to be any irony in that comment...I played a fretless Jazz (with flats) a few years ago and the whole issue was trying to find a spot on the neck where it wasn't dead! :lol:
