Thunderpaws Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Happy Birthday dude! And...more importantly, has anyone played around with his new signature pedal? What's it called...Mahem?! Quote
dannybuoy Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 It's called 'The Billy Sheehan Signature Drive'. Catchy, eh? Quote
thodrik Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I've got it. Fairly flexible bit of kit. Capable of some really nice and some really harsh sounds! Quote
dannybuoy Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Nice review - try and get the FuzzMo in next! Quote
Prime_BASS Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I'm not entirely sure on how the clean and dirty loop work, what with one Jack and all? Can anyone enlighten me? Quote

You'd need a stereo-to-dual-mono cable, like this one...http://www.soundsliveshop.com/p/Hosa_STP-203_3m_Stereo_Jack_to_Dual_Mono_Jack_Y-Cable/HOSA-STP203?CAWELAID=1830895747&CAGPSPN=pla&catargetid=1831862285&cadevice=c&cagpspn=pla&gclid=CMrfhYnPsL0CFQ_HtAodeF8ASw Quote
dannybuoy Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 (edited) Commonly known as insert cables, as the send/return jacks on mixers and rack gear often use TRS jacks like this too. There are right angled versions in existence too: http://www.rubadub.co.uk/hosa-stp-201rr-insert-cable-1-4-trs-right-angled-jack-to-dual-1-4-right-angled-jack-1m?___store=default&gclid=CM3yjKvTsL0CFdHLtAodqQMAeQ Edited March 26, 2014 by dannybuoy Quote
Prime_BASS Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I see. They look relatively inexpensive, would be easier if the the pedal just came with them. Quote

WalMan Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Tried one in GAK last w/e. Couldn't get it to a light dist sound. It seemed to be either 'sound like Billy' whatever I set it to, or off. So a bit 'meh' for me on the tryout I had and I could not justify to cost for what I want. Quote
AttitudeCastle Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 (edited) That's interesting (ignore my pic, it's from 3 years ago... haha! My last couple posts on BC have been too fanboyish, gulp! ) as I found for my uses, even maxed out I couldn't get the amount of drive I wanted, though I'm feeling that it's more the 'character' of the drive I wasn't totally happy with. Maybe with a hot signal and a booster in front of it, but nope, not for me! I do agree it does have a certain element of tone sculpting a tad too much where was hard to get away from that Billy type sound, so I ended up moving mine on very quickly. I did like it a lot, and the compression was great, but I needed the money that little bit more and it wasn't quite enough for me to keep it. Would get another if I had the money spare though Edited April 7, 2014 by AttitudeCastle Quote
