JapanAxe
I'm sure that, in addition to instrument(s) and amp(s), we all take a sensible selection of items to gigs - things like cables, strings, and batteries (unless you're a guitarist). But what about bizarre, unusual or odd items? I'll kick off with a couple:

Head torch (for pack-ups on dark stages, especially in marquees)
Clean (and more importantly, dry) socks for the drive back
No points for saying 'the missus' or 'the drummer' btw! Off you go BC-ers...

gary mac
I have been mocked by my bandmates for turning up at gigs with a flask of coffee. As JapanAxe a head torch is always in my gig bag. Migraine medication has been useful on a few occasions.

seashell
I'm not sure if it's that unusual but I always take plasters. Never know when there's going to be some equipment related accident. Or blisters. Edit to add - they have to be fabric plasters. Can't play with waterproof plasters on your fingers. dand666
We always take our camper-van to most of our gigs, so a lot of food/booze/magazines e.t.c Mostly we always try and make an event out of our gigs, as most of our weddings are on Saturday evenings, we drive up the night before, party in the local town, then head to the gig the next day. Then sleep over. Makes the weekend awesome.
spinynorman
I take a capo, which isn't for me, it's in case the guitarist forgets his.

Cat Burrito
I was going to say I used to take my ex-wife along but I guess that is a bit obvious. I too have capos, guitar strings and plectrums because they go in the kit bag and other players seem to struggle with that concept.

Also, a couple of spare clean tee shirts...

But I'm a whizz with the old Elastoplast, lol (Have to admit it doesn't look all that cool though)

A kazoo always comes in handy. You could use it if your guitarist didn't turn up as well!
