Dazed Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 I recently ordered 2 sets of these in a light gauge. One 4 and another for a 5. I've just strung my warwick with a set and the E sounds the same as the old set I've removed ie dead no Zing at all. Now I've opened the 5er set to try the E and that's dead as well. To prove all this I swapped the E and A over just to make sure there was nothing weird going on with the bass. Sure enough it's always the E. Anyone else noticed this with these strings? Bad batch? Opinions please Quote
ambient Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I had some flats from them a couple of years ago, they were pretty rubbish, just as you described. I just bought some more a few weeks ago and they're fine, quite nice and bright and flexible. Phone them and complain. Quote

Contact them to let them know what the problem is and I'm pretty sure they'll do their utmost to put it right. Quote

Dazed Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 Update: Spoke to Dawn several times and 2 x replacement E strings sent out Sadly the replacements are just the same. I've restrung a 5 string at the weekend with the other set of premium rounds and the D and E are dead in this set they just sound like strings from totally different sets...!? Very disappointed. Ill be contacting them again tomorrow. Quote
