zomnius Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Beautiful fat sounding bass! I had one for a coupe of years.. (fretted tough) it had a perfect stringspacing for me. What is exactly shaped differently by luthier? thx.
marcblum Posted December 29, 2014 Author Posted December 29, 2014 The neck was 60mm wide at the nut. Not much fun to handle. The neck was shaped narrower, so that it is only 54mm wide at the nut. A new nut has been installed. The thickness of the neck hasn't changed. As the wood is oiled, there was no damage to the finish.
green Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 very nice bass. does this have an extremely small body ? although the string spacing at the bridge is "just" 17mm, it looks huge. that must be due to the body size, right ? had a tune myself, really nice instruments, and this one looks premium class
