JazzBassfreak
So I go travelling next weekend and I figured it's about time I got a new amp head or a good portable travel amp, I really want something between £200-£400 that has an Aux in too. I've been looking around and really not seen much that takes my fancy or much that I'd deem very easily portable. I was hoping for some suggestions and advice, help!? discreet
Gigging amp or practice amp or both?
Len_derby
I've got a Roland Micro Cube RX for bass. I use it for home practice. Rehearsals with acoustic bands. Busking (can run on 6AA batteries). It's never going to move much air, but the useful features it has got are; An in-built tuner Several effects (chorus, octave, wah, flanger, delay, reverb. Aux in headphones/record out Metronome A 'drum machine' - which is several pre-set rhythm styles (e.g. rock, jazz, country, latin)and is quite good fun to use. Roland Rock
When I was travelling, I had an acoustic bass. Bulky, but light. No amp needed and loud enough to play along with an acoustic guitar. No electricity needed either, so good for busking/campfires etc.

discreet
Ampeg BA108 Combo... 25W, 12kg, mp3/CD input, 3-band EQ, headphone output plus a line out for PA so could conceivably be used for gigs. Plus you get a bit of Ampeg mojo. You should be able to get one for around £100.

JazzBassfreak
Does anyone reckon a zt lunchbox would be a good idea for bass?
