JohnFitzgerald Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Needing a few little tweaks, a new EQ pot, new balance and tone knobs. That's about it really. Plays great and reminds me why I liked them in the first place. [attachment=158380:WP_20140322_006.jpg] [attachment=158379:WP_20140322_004.jpg] Quote
BassBus Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Wooden necked Status basses are some of the best value basses on the used market. Looks good. Quote

hamfist Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I loved my old Energy. Played like a dream. If I got another I'd change the preamp straight though. I loved the hyperactive pickups but the preamp has a huge mid scoop built in. Wish I'd been into customising basses back then, I'd have done just that and had an outstanding bass. As it was I just moved it on for a pittance. Quote
ahpook Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Lovely. Does this model just have the active treble control ? Quote
Tweedledum Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Very nice! Congrats! I had an Energy 5-string, it was my only bass for more than 10 years. Sold it in 2004 - I regret it now, although I'm not into 5-strings any more. The Status Energy was a real good one. Quote
Merton Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 (edited) I love Status' wooden necked basses, good find (Edit - I also like their graphite beasties too but I think their wooden models get forgotten sometimes!) Edited March 25, 2014 by Merton Quote
