Some more good guesses, sadly it's not a Nu-metal style bass or infact a bass of the sea, although that looks like it could do quite a few dinners!

Good idea though dating back the GAS to what music was around then, but another clue is the music was still a little bit older than that which I liked when it came out but had no clue about playing any instruments then!
